A Crushing Blow to the Ego

One evening recently, my daughter was asking about why we had to move. I explained it was because Daddy had gotten a new job.

"Why did he get a new job?" she demanded.

"Because he was the most qualified candidate."

"No, he's not," she insisted. "He's Daddy!"
