Most days the way I cope is to just get up and shower and do all the stuff I normally do anyway. Nothing makes me more upset then needing rest and being unable to get it. I know I'm not going to get the rest, anyway, so I just pretend I don't need it. No, it doesn't work, but at least I'm not frustrated by the fact that I didn't get any extra rest.Totallyscrappyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13617099975079979822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35865772.post-36576970540460236822008-02-26T10:08:00.000-06:002008-02-26T10:08:00.000-06:00Bless your heart, I hope you're better by now! I put on a movie in my room and let the girls watch while I rest.

My youngest is the worst, though, because she gets bored and restless. I also keep small activity boxes in my bedroom for her. One box has a reasonable amount of Legos, another has Little People, etc. Those will keep her busy for 20-30 minutes at a time. I also keep 2 different Doodle Pads in my room to keep her occupied.

Good luck!Lori - Queen of Dirty Laundryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11688908160171158198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35865772.post-72826409633616358202008-02-23T19:23:00.000-06:002008-02-23T19:23:00.000-06:00Oooh, big hugs. Sometimes my kids will lay on the floor or bed with me while I read to them, or they read to me.purple_kangaroohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02543172194041505144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35865772.post-31419736772041629732008-02-23T16:23:00.000-06:002008-02-23T16:23:00.000-06:00We just went through this at my house except I had...We just went through this at my house except I had pneumonia. Unfortunately, I relied waaaaay too much on the tv. We did lots of reading books in bed, too. Luckily, I had friends drop off dinner for a few nights and that helped tremendously. Few things are worse than parenting while sick. Hope you feel better soon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35865772.post-15796751051062394762008-02-23T08:18:00.000-06:002008-02-23T08:18:00.000-06:00I am sorry your sick. I used to think my sister was so cruel when she told me she would rather her children be sick than for her to be. Now, as a mother, I understand what she was saying.Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11150650968865953301noreply@blogger.com
